CECAM is a European organisation supported by several national research organisations :

• Belgium: FNRS (Fond de la Recherche Scientifique) and FWO (Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek)
• France: CEA (Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique), CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), and ENS (Ecole Normale Supérieure)
• Germany: DFG (Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft), MPG (Max Planck Gesellschaft) and FZJ (Forschungszentrum Jülich)
• Italy: CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche), SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati)
• The Netherlands: NWO (The Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek), UvA (University of Amsterdam)
• Spain: MICINN (Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación)

CECAM is governed by the Scientific Council which is composed of the representatives of these member organisations.

Cecam Headquarters are hosted by EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne)
